Elpis

This work was commissioned by Dallas-Fort Worth Fertility Associates. It is an abstract representation of life force. Male and female energies, as well as embryos, are depicted. There is a star of hope in the top right corner, which is meant to reflect the meaning of the title: “Elpis,” the Greek word for hope.

The work was created with: pyrite, lapis, fluorite, granite, various types of crystals, orange kyanite, abalone, ammonites, zeolites.
